The German Federal Office for Radiation Protection has published a ranking of the phones that emit the highest level of radiation.
According to the official data, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is followed by OnePlus 5T and Xiaomi Mi Max 3. The One Plus 6T and HTC U12 life are the first.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 emits 1,75 watts per kilogram, much if we compare it to the model that emits the lowest radiation dose – only 0.17 watts / kg.
iPhone 7 is ranked 9th in the radiation rankings, and iPhone 8 is ranked 14th.
In the top of the lowest radiative models, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the only one with only 0.17 watts / kg.
Apart from the Samsung phones, the ZTE and Motorola models are pretty good at radiation.
The scientific society is still in a continuous debate about the effect of radiation emitted by such mobile devices and the risk of cancer.
Studies conducted so far on guinea pigs are not relevant, as these animals have been subjected to much higher doses of radiation than a man using a smartphone – no matter what the model.
